Questions
What is the maximum electricity price for profitable mining?
It is the price per kWh at which a miner's revenue only covers its power: revenue per day divided by the kWh it uses per day. Above it, the miner loses money. The calculator shows it for the miner you pick, at today's coin price and difficulty.
What do mining sites pay for electricity?
Large industrial sites often pay 3 to 6 cents per kWh, hosting offers usually quote 6 to 9 cents all-in, and residential power is typically 12 cents or more, which is why home mining rarely pays.
How much power does a mining site use per month?
Power draw in kW times 24 hours times about 30 days. A 10 MW site running at 97% uptime uses about 7,100 MWh a month.
Where can I find cheaper power?
Every site and hosting listing on CryptoSites.io shows its power price; set an alert for sites under the price you need.
