Which Mining and Crypto Conferences Are Worth It If You Buy, Sell or Host Mining Sites (2026-2027)
Not every crypto conference is useful for site deals. Here is where power developers, hosting buyers and mining capital actually meet, and how to turn a few days on the floor into real conversations.

If your business is powered land, mining sites or hosting capacity, start with the mining and energy events: Mining Disrupt, PTC'27, Datacloud Global Congress, the North American Blockchain Summit, Crypto Mining Guild, the American Data Center Private Power Forum and the Heatpunk Summit. Add one or two big Bitcoin conferences where mining capital shows up. Treat the large general crypto events as optional. Whatever you pick, arrive with a one-page site sheet, an NDA ready to sign and meetings booked in advance.
A site deal rarely closes at a conference. But a lot of them start there. A buyer hears about your megawatts over coffee, a power developer mentions a substation with spare capacity, an investor asks who has hosting in Texas.
The problem is choice. There are dozens of crypto events a year, and most of them are built for traders, developers and token projects. If you sell or buy mining sites, you need the rooms where energy and infrastructure people gather.
Below is our shortlist for late 2026 and 2027. You can see all dates, filters and calendar invites on our events page. Dates can move, so always confirm on the organiser's site before you book travel.
The must-go mining and energy events
These are the events where the conversations are about megawatts, grid connections, cooling and contracts. If you only have budget for a few trips, start here.
North American Blockchain Summit (18 to 19 November 2026, Arlington, Texas). Run by the Texas Blockchain Council, it covers energy, the grid, data centers and Bitcoin. Texas site owners and miners meet policymakers here. If you own or want land in ERCOT, this is a strong room.
Crypto Mining Guild (10 December 2026, Abu Dhabi). A one-day mining infrastructure and energy event at Space42 Arena, held as a side event of the Global Blockchain Show. Short and focused. Good for meeting Gulf investors who are looking at mining.
PTC'27 (17 to 20 January 2027, Honolulu). A large digital infrastructure meeting where power, powered-land and data center developers do deals. It is not a mining event, but it matters if your site is large or could convert to AI and HPC.
American Data Center Private Power Forum (24 to 25 February 2027, Houston). A small forum on behind-the-meter and on-site power for data centers. These are the same power questions mining-site owners face every day. Small events often mean better conversations.
Heatpunk Summit (26 to 27 February 2027, Denver). A hands-on builder summit about reusing Bitcoin mining heat in homes and businesses. Small and mining-only. Useful if you host smaller loads or sell into heat reuse projects.
Mining Disrupt (22 to 24 March 2027, Irving near Dallas). Billed as the world's largest Bitcoin mining expo, it covers ASICs, hosting, power, cooling and AI/HPC. If you go to one mining event a year, make it this one. Site sellers and buyers are both on the floor.
Datacloud Global Congress (2 to 4 June 2027, Cannes). Europe's top data center investment congress, for power, land and capital deals. Mining-to-AI site conversions are part of the conversation. Go if your site is in Europe or could attract data center buyers.
Big Bitcoin conferences where mining capital shows up
Bitcoin conferences are broader. You will meet plenty of people who have nothing to do with mining. But the large ones attract miners, their investors and the funds that back them.
Plan ₿ Forum runs in Lugano on 23 to 24 October 2026, inside Plan ₿ Week, and in San Salvador on 29 to 30 January 2027. El Salvador is a country that runs state-linked Bitcoin mining, which makes the January edition interesting for anyone looking at Latin America.
Bitcoin Amsterdam (5 to 6 November 2026). A good place to meet European investors and Bitcoin companies.
BTC Prague (6 to 8 May 2027). Europe's largest Bitcoin-only conference. Bitmain is a partner and the mining industry attends.
Bitcoin 2027 (15 to 17 July 2027, Nashville). The world's largest Bitcoin conference. Mining is a core topic, and major miners are sponsors. Expect most of the US mining industry to be in town that week.
Bitcoin Asia (26 to 27 August 2027, Hong Kong). Close to the region's ASIC makers and mining capital.
Bitcoin MENA (9 to 10 December 2027, Abu Dhabi). Has a Proof of Work stage, and Gulf sovereign and energy capital attend. If you are raising for a large site, this is worth the trip.
Large general crypto events: when they make sense
These events are huge, expensive and mostly about tokens, exchanges and trading. For most site deals they are optional. They make sense in three cases: you are raising money, you want to meet exchanges or funds that are moving into infrastructure, or there is a mining track.
Blockchain Life (1 to 2 December 2026, Dubai) is the exception in this group. It has a dedicated mining track covering ASICs, AI compute, data centers and energy, plus a mining equipment expo.
TOKEN2049 runs in Dubai on 21 to 22 April 2027 and in Singapore on 6 to 7 October 2027. Gulf and Asian capital attend. Go with a clear target list, or the crowd will swallow your days.
Consensus runs in Hong Kong on 1 to 3 February 2027 and in Miami Beach on 4 to 6 May 2027. A big institutional and investor crowd. Useful for capital, less so for operators.
How to prepare
The people you want to meet will hear dozens of pitches. Make yours easy to remember and easy to check.
Bring a one-page site sheet. Keep it to the facts a buyer asks first:
- megawatts available now, and any expansion capacity
- power price per kWh and how it is set (fixed, indexed, curtailment credits)
- contract type and remaining term, and whether it can transfer
- location: state or region, grid operator, nearest substation
- status of permits and the date power was first energised
- what you want: sale, lease, hosting clients or a partner
Leave out the exact address and anything that identifies the owner. That comes after an NDA.
Have an NDA ready. Bring a short mutual NDA as a PDF you can send from your phone. Serious buyers will want detail quickly, and you do not want to lose a week to paperwork.
Know your numbers. Be ready to answer the cost to host, the uptime history and the curtailment terms without checking notes.
Who to meet
Not everyone on the floor is a prospect. Focus on three groups:
- Power developers. They know where spare capacity sits and often have land that needs a load. They can also be future partners for expansion.
- Hosting buyers. Miners looking for space, from a few hundred kilowatts to tens of megawatts. They need power that is live, not promised.
- Capital. Funds, family offices and corporate treasuries that back sites or buy them outright. Ask early what size of deal they do and what returns they need.
Book meetings before the event
The best meetings are set up weeks ahead. Most of the useful conversations happen in side rooms, hotel lobbies and private dinners, not at booths.
- Look at the sponsor and speaker lists on the official site and pick ten to fifteen targets.
- Send a short message two to three weeks before: who you are, what you have (MW, region, price range) and a proposed 20-minute slot.
- Use the event app if there is one, but do not rely on it alone.
- Leave gaps in your schedule. Some of the best meetings are the ones you did not plan.
You can add any event straight to your calendar from all dates, filters and calendar invites, so your travel and meeting plans stay in one place.
Follow up within 48 hours
Most conference leads die in the inbox. Send a short follow-up within two days while you are still fresh in their mind:
- remind them where you met and what you discussed
- attach the site sheet and the NDA
- propose one clear next step, such as a call or a site visit, with two date options
Then keep a simple list: name, company, what they want, next action and date. Check it every week.
Pick a few and do them well
Three well-prepared events will do more for your deal flow than ten trips with no plan. Choose the mining and energy rooms first, add one big Bitcoin conference where your buyers gather, and treat the general crypto events as a bonus.
If you would rather not wait for the next conference, list your site through the listings desk or compare sites and country profiles on the map at cryptosites.io.
