DigiByte DGB
sha-256Refreshed every 15 min
DigiByte launched in January 2014. It is a fast payments chain with 15-second blocks, a 21 billion coin cap and five separate mining algorithms, so no single type of hardware controls it.

What would this coin earn you?
How this coin is mined
DigiByte splits its blocks across SHA-256, Scrypt, Skein, Qubit and Odocrypt, each getting roughly one block every 75 seconds. This board prices its SHA-256 side, mined with Bitcoin ASICs.
Mining this coin: FAQ
Is DigiByte mining profitable right now?
At 5¢/kWh the most profitable DigiByte miner today, the Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U, earns about $28.94 a day and burns $13.22 of electricity, leaving about $15.72 a day. 101 of 248 SHA-256 miners we track are profitable at that price. Set your own power price above and the whole page recalculates.
What is the best miner for DigiByte?
Ranked by profit per day at 5¢/kWh: Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U ($15.72/day, 1.16 PH/s at 11,020 W), Bitdeer SealMiner A4 Ultra Hydro ($12.06/day, 886 TH/s at 8,372 W), Bitmain Antminer S23e Hyd 2U (865Th) ($11.20/day, 865 TH/s at 8,650 W). The most efficient machine we track is the Bitdeer SealMiner A4 Ultra Hydro at 9.45 J/TH; cheap power favours raw hashrate, expensive power favours efficiency, so the order changes with your price.
At what electricity price does DigiByte mining stop paying?
At today's price and difficulty the Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U breaks even at about 11¢ per kWh: above that it costs more to run than it earns. Pool fees (usually 1-4%), cooling and any hosting margin come on top, so plan with a buffer. Of the 248 machines we track, 141 are in profit at 3¢/kWh, 75 at 6¢ and 4 at 10¢, which is why miners chase cheap power.
How long does a DigiByte miner take to pay for itself?
The fastest payback at 5¢/kWh is the Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro (234Th): about $702.30 for the machine, $1.63 profit a day, so roughly 14 months if price and difficulty stayed where they are today. The top earner, the Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U, costs $15,499 and pays back in about 2.7 years. In practice difficulty usually rises as new machines ship, so real payback is longer; a falling coin price stretches it further, a rally shortens it. On a network this small, a few extra machines also push difficulty up fast.
How much DGB does one miner make per day?
The Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U, at 1.16 PH/s, mines about 8,097 DGB a day today, worth $28.94. That is 2.9% of the network's 40.41 PH/s. The whole network mints about 285,616 DGB a day ($1,021), and every miner earns its share of hashrate. With one machine that big a slice, every machine added lowers what the others earn: this network can only absorb a handful.
Should I mine DigiByte solo or in a pool?
On its own, one Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U would find a DigiByte block about once every hour on average, and luck can stretch that a long way. With blocks this frequent, even a single machine gets regular rewards; pools still smooth the payouts. FPPS and PPS+ pools pay a fixed amount per share (fees often 2-4%), PPLNS pools pay out only when the pool finds a block (often 0-2%, but lumpier).
How do DigiByte's block rewards and supply work?
Right now each block pays about 247.9 DGB including fees, with a block every 75 seconds on average, about 285,616 DGB a day. 18.42 billion of the 21.00 billion maximum are already out (88%). This board covers DigiByte's SHA-256 side; each of its five algorithms targets an equal share of the blocks, so SHA-256 miners only compete with each other.
What hardware mines SHA-256, and what matters when buying?
SHA-256 (hashed twice per attempt) is the most competitive mining market there is, and only ASICs have counted since 2013. The main makers are Bitmain (Antminer), MicroBT (WhatsMiner), Canaan (Avalon) and Bitdeer (SealMiner). Air-cooled units are loud (around 75 dB) and need a lot of airflow; hydro (water-cooled) and immersion models pack more hashrate per rack and last longer in hot climates, but need a cooling loop or tank. Most air-cooled machines run on 200-277 V, many hydro models on 380-415 V three-phase. The same machines mine Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, eCash, Fractal Bitcoin, Peercoin and the SHA-256 sides of DigiByte and Quai: switching is just a pool change. We track 248 SHA-256 machines; judge them by J/TH (efficiency) against your power price, then by price per TH, cooling type and the warranty and repair options where you will run them.
Can I run a whole mining site on DigiByte?
Not on its own. DigiByte's whole network is about 40.41 PH/s, and one megawatt of Bitmain Antminer S23 Hyd 3U units would add 104 PH/s, several times the network. Difficulty would jump and the earnings shown here would melt away. Large sites point their machines at the biggest coin for the algorithm and treat small coins like DigiByte as a side bet for a few units.
How do I start mining DigiByte?
Pick a machine for your power price (see the table above), then sort out power and cooling: most ASICs need 200-277 V at 10-30 A each, hydro models usually 380-415 V three-phase and a cooling loop, and air-cooled units are too loud for a home. Set up a DigiByte wallet, point the machine at a pool, and watch temperatures in the first days. If you don't have cheap power and space, hosting is the usual route: a host runs the machine for an all-in price per kWh. CryptoSites.io lists both powered sites and hosting.

NewBitcoin Difficulty Is Down 15% From Its Peak. Should You Buy a Mining Site Now?
Lower difficulty means each machine earns more bitcoin. But difficulty follows hashrate, and hashrate can come back fast. Here's how to price a site on a range, not on today's number.

Where the World's Hashrate Is Moving in 2026 (and What It Means for Site Prices)
The network stopped shrinking in Q3 2026, but the map underneath it is still changing fast. Developed markets are giving up hashrate to AI, while a group of energy-rich countries keeps absorbing new machines.

Hashprice Near $40: Which Mining Sites Still Make Money (and Which Owners Will Sell)
At about $40 per PH per day, a fleet's efficiency sets a hard ceiling on the electricity cost it can afford. Here's where that ceiling sits, who is under pressure, and what it means for anyone buying a site.
