How this coin is mined
Pirate Chain is mined with Equihash ASICs, the same machines that mine Zcash.
Mining this coin: FAQ
Is Pirate Chain mining profitable right now?
At 5¢/kWh the most profitable Pirate Chain miner today, the Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro, earns about $38.85 a day and burns $3.34 of electricity, leaving about $35.51 a day. 8 of 8 Equihash miners we track are profitable at that price. Set your own power price above and the whole page recalculates.
What is the best miner for Pirate Chain?
Ranked by profit per day at 5¢/kWh: Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro ($35.51/day, 840 kH/s at 2,780 W), Bitmain Antminer Z15 ($17.62/day, 420 kH/s at 1,510 W), Innosilicon A9++ ZMaster ($4.62/day, 140 kH/s at 1,550 W). The most efficient machine we track is the Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro at 3.31 J/kH; cheap power favours raw hashrate, expensive power favours efficiency, so the order changes with your price.
At what electricity price does Pirate Chain mining stop paying?
At today's price and difficulty the Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro breaks even at about 58¢ per kWh: above that it costs more to run than it earns. Pool fees (usually 1-4%), cooling and any hosting margin come on top, so plan with a buffer. Of the 8 machines we track, 8 are in profit at 3¢/kWh, 8 at 6¢ and 6 at 10¢, which is why miners chase cheap power.
How long does a Pirate Chain miner take to pay for itself?
The fastest payback at 5¢/kWh is the Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro: about $5,299 for the machine, $35.51 profit a day, so roughly 5 months if price and difficulty stayed where they are today. In practice difficulty usually rises as new machines ship, so real payback is longer; a falling coin price stretches it further, a rally shortens it. On a network this small, a few extra machines also push difficulty up fast.
How much ARRR does one miner make per day?
The Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro, at 840 kH/s, mines about 163.1 ARRR a day today, worth $38.85. That is 44% of the network's 1.92 MH/s. The whole network mints about 354.1 ARRR a day ($84.33), and every miner earns its share of hashrate. With one machine that big a slice, every machine added lowers what the others earn: this network can only absorb a handful.
Should I mine Pirate Chain solo or in a pool?
On its own, one Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro would find a Pirate Chain block about once every hour on average, and luck can stretch that a long way. With blocks this frequent, even a single machine gets regular rewards; pools still smooth the payouts. FPPS and PPS+ pools pay a fixed amount per share (fees often 2-4%), PPLNS pools pay out only when the pool finds a block (often 0-2%, but lumpier).
How do Pirate Chain's block rewards and supply work?
Right now each block pays about 0.250 ARRR including fees, with a block every 61 seconds on average, about 354.1 ARRR a day. 196.21 million of the 200.00 million maximum are already out (98%).
What hardware mines Equihash, and what matters when buying?
Equihash is a memory-oriented proof-of-work published in 2016 by Alex Biryukov and Dmitry Khovratovich; Zcash uses the 200,9 parameters. ASICs (mainly Bitmain's Antminer Z series) replaced GPUs from 2018. Hashrate is counted in solutions per second (sol/s). The same machines mine Pirate Chain and other Equihash 200,9 coins. We track 8 Equihash machines; judge them by J/kH (efficiency) against your power price, then by price per kH, cooling type and the warranty and repair options where you will run them.
Can I run a whole mining site on Pirate Chain?
Not on its own. Pirate Chain's whole network is about 1.92 MH/s, and one megawatt of Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro units would add 302 MH/s, several times the network. Difficulty would jump and the earnings shown here would melt away. Large sites point their machines at the biggest coin for the algorithm and treat small coins like Pirate Chain as a side bet for a few units.
How do I start mining Pirate Chain?
Pick a machine for your power price (see the table above), then sort out power and cooling: most ASICs need 200-277 V at 10-30 A each, hydro models usually 380-415 V three-phase and a cooling loop, and air-cooled units are too loud for a home. Set up a Pirate Chain wallet, point the machine at a pool, and watch temperatures in the first days. If you don't have cheap power and space, hosting is the usual route: a host runs the machine for an all-in price per kWh. CryptoSites.io lists both powered sites and hosting.

NewBitcoin Difficulty Is Down 15% From Its Peak. Should You Buy a Mining Site Now?
Lower difficulty means each machine earns more bitcoin. But difficulty follows hashrate, and hashrate can come back fast. Here's how to price a site on a range, not on today's number.

Where the World's Hashrate Is Moving in 2026 (and What It Means for Site Prices)
The network stopped shrinking in Q3 2026, but the map underneath it is still changing fast. Developed markets are giving up hashrate to AI, while a group of energy-rich countries keeps absorbing new machines.

Hashprice Near $40: Which Mining Sites Still Make Money (and Which Owners Will Sell)
At about $40 per PH per day, a fleet's efficiency sets a hard ceiling on the electricity cost it can afford. Here's where that ceiling sits, who is under pressure, and what it means for anyone buying a site.
