Questions

Mining this coin: FAQ

Is Nexa mining profitable right now?

At 5¢/kWh the most profitable Nexa miner today, the DragonBall A21, earns about $4.86 a day and burns $2.16 of electricity, leaving about $2.70 a day. 1 of 1 NexaPow miners we track are profitable at that price. Set your own power price above and the whole page recalculates.

What is the best miner for Nexa?

Ranked by profit per day at 5¢/kWh: DragonBall A21 ($2.70/day, 3.4 GH/s at 1,800 W). The most efficient machine we track is the DragonBall A21 at 529.4 J/GH; cheap power favours raw hashrate, expensive power favours efficiency, so the order changes with your price.

At what electricity price does Nexa mining stop paying?

At today's price and difficulty the DragonBall A21 breaks even at about 11¢ per kWh: above that it costs more to run than it earns. Pool fees (usually 1-4%), cooling and any hosting margin come on top, so plan with a buffer. Of the 1 machines we track, 1 are in profit at 3¢/kWh, 1 at 6¢ and 1 at 10¢, which is why miners chase cheap power.

How much NEXA does one miner make per day?

The DragonBall A21, at 3.4 GH/s, mines about 4.76 million NEXA a day today, worth $4.86. That is 0.13% of the network's 2.6 TH/s. The whole network mints about 3.69 billion NEXA a day ($3,766), and every miner earns its share of hashrate.

Should I mine Nexa solo or in a pool?

On its own, one DragonBall A21 would find a Nexa block about once every 1 days on average, and luck can stretch that a long way. With blocks this frequent, even a single machine gets regular rewards; pools still smooth the payouts. FPPS and PPS+ pools pay a fixed amount per share (fees often 2-4%), PPLNS pools pay out only when the pool finds a block (often 0-2%, but lumpier).

How do Nexa's block rewards and supply work?

Right now each block pays about 5.00 million NEXA including fees, with a block every 2 minutes on average, about 3.69 billion NEXA a day. 11092.71 billion of the 21000.00 billion maximum are already out (53%).

What hardware mines NexaPow, and what matters when buying?

NexaPow is Nexa's own algorithm, mined on GPUs and ASICs. We track 1 NexaPow machines; judge them by J/GH (efficiency) against your power price, then by price per GH, cooling type and the warranty and repair options where you will run them.

Can I run a whole mining site on Nexa?

Not on its own. Nexa's whole network is about 2.6 TH/s, and one megawatt of DragonBall A21 units would add 1.89 TH/s, a large part of it. Difficulty would jump and the earnings shown here would melt away. Large sites point their machines at the biggest coin for the algorithm and treat small coins like Nexa as a side bet for a few units.

How do I start mining Nexa?

Pick a machine for your power price (see the table above), then sort out power and cooling: most ASICs need 200-277 V at 10-30 A each, hydro models usually 380-415 V three-phase and a cooling loop, and air-cooled units are too loud for a home. Set up a Nexa wallet, point the machine at a pool, and watch temperatures in the first days. If you don't have cheap power and space, hosting is the usual route: a host runs the machine for an all-in price per kWh. CryptoSites.io lists both powered sites and hosting.
